Please note that nothing is stored on the server. All constructs must be saved locally on your machine. This application has been tested in the latest browsers. However, please test different browsers for speed and display to identify one that works best on your machine. A help file will be available soon. In the meantime, you can make your construct by selecting a GenBank vector from the dropdown box (default input value is BlueScribe). The program will retrieve and draw the selected vector and its associated features. Genes (arcs) and restriction enzymes (rectangles with rounded corners) can be selected when clicked; also, while selected, an arc can be dragged by moving the mouse or using the right or left arrows on the keyboard. To display restriction enzymes with more than one cut, add the target number of cuts in the designated input area (default input value is 1) and click the 'REs' action button. When manipulating the restriction sites, genes, or other targets, you must first select the target feature in the circle/linear map (displayed in the left drawing container) and then implement the needed action(s) via the action buttons. Please give it a try. Also, please click here to send your suggestions, feedback, and requests; many thanks.
